The Moths theme highlighted by MM Milano in Los Angeles Fashion Week

After the impressive launch of MM Milano's futuristic "Pluto line" at New York Fashion Week in September 2021 and other breathtaking performances by the Milanese brand in its hometown, Milan, and in New York in March 2022;  Los Angeles Fashion Week was the next stop on the MM Milano team's list led by Chief Designer Chona Bacaoco.

Under the eyes of great personalities in fashion and beyond, such as the famous designer Michael Cinco, among the audience during their show there were also the Hollywood music artist Victoria Kimani, the Hollywood comedian Chris Klemens and many others.

The Talents of the Milanese brand's agency, MM Milano, Sofia Pavan, Natalia Spanhel, Raynaih Gregory, Giada Mendoza, the brothers Ava and Eli Huynh, Geianna Gonzalez, Sofia Ochenash, the sisters London and Monroe Gerodias and Pluto Ernsberger together with the Arci celebrities Munoz and Cole Micek and the international models Vivian But and Vanilla Aiday, made the LAFW catwalk tremble at the Petersen Automotive Museum headquarters, presenting the new sustainable collections designed by Chona Bacaoco together with her Talent and co-designer Pluto Ernsberger.

MM Milano surprised and fascinated the crowd by using the beauty and individuality of moths, little-known insects, as a theme to represent inclusion and diversity on the catwalk.

Talents of all ages and backgrounds displayed a vibrant and colorful fashion made of upcycled natural fibers and organic fabrics inspired by the intriguing mystery of these infected: the moths.

The moths were chosen as the theme by Chona and her Talent, Pluto, to express and reflect their unique story, in fact, the moths through their drawings and small motifs on the body show the signs of their struggle to define their identity and to find their place in society.

The MM Milano fashion show, which has been defined by fashion magazines and various observers as one of the absolute "Highlights" of this year's LAFW, was accompanied by music for the brand's show composed by Andreas Volkmar together with a video projected on the background of the stage produced by “Contena Films” in Milan which tells how moths become a symbol of sustainability and inclusion in fashion.

In addition to the looks, the public was surprised by the detailed and sensational headdresses made by Theresa Guck, a Texas-based jewelry designer and partner of MM Milano, paired with the breathtaking jewels of IXXIA Jewelry.

MM Milano also collaborated with shoe designer Jose Joaquin Bragais from the Philippines, known for his Bragais Shoes brand.
