Innovation drives growth - an undeniable fact was the driving force behind recently organized Innovation in Business Summit on 18th September 2021, in Hyatt Regency. The summit was organized by Nousheen Mukhtar who holds this vision of creating a thriving eco-system that supports new businesses in the region and makes business affiliations and collaborations possible.
Held under the patronage of the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, this event brought together investors, business owners, delegates from Germany, Cyprus and UAE to coordinate about business growth in the UAE. Chairman from the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Tomasz Zaleski along with his team headed the event. Reflecting upon he stated, "We are pleased to support local projects that aim at empowering and strengthening business in various sectors in the UAE".
One of the main objectives of this summit was to address challenges faced by small businesses specifically startups that are looking for funding and growth-oriented support. The event included discussions among tech business leaders who have witnessed growth happening in many local tech startups over the years. Their insightful discussions brought forward the fact that businesses in tech space have great potential for future growth, however, leadership practices matter to make significant results possible.
The event focused on business from Technology and Sustainability fields. Different companies from these two industries participated represented by great leaders such as Dariush Soudi, the CEO of Be Unique Group, Shruti Sayed COO of Fincasa Capital, Muhammad Nawaz Jadoon Chairman of Gawah Holdings, Rashid Alameri CEO of Mai AlDhafra among many others.
Nousheen Mukhtar, the visionary business owner, believes that SMEs in Dubai have a strong supporting system with different government supported programs that ensure steady growth. During her speech at the event, she encouraged startups to learn from the experiences of people who have grown multiple businesses globally. She believes absence of innovation and leadership efficacy leads to startup failure. A smart entrepreneur should be well prepared to meet such challenges.
Several entrepreneurs were awarded for their innovative business during this event. The awardees Dr. Eng. Suaad Al Shamsi – the First Emirati Woman Aviation Engineer, Fairouz Daoud CEO of Rozmemories, Anul Mundra – Founder of Indian Expats in Dubai, Lynette Lobo the founder of Dazzle Vici International and Vici Vista Global Services and Shubika Jacob were excited to receive endorsement for the excellent products/services of their ventures and their passion for growth. Dubai is the growth hub for SMEs; its business echo system supports SME growth and invites innovative ideas to thrive and prosper. Startups suffer when they fail to achieve their realistically set targets, lack innovation and are not equipped to meet challenges. Events like the Innovation Summit are at the bases of business connectivity and ideation.
